Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed in accordance with established safety measures and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson commented in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to Brussels when the incident occurred.
This occurrence is not the first time that a US military aircraft ferrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Marco Rubio to Munich was required to head back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical fault.
