The Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Zodiac Sign

The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread enthusiasm across the community. From the gradual unveiling of newcomers before the game's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given numerous of the Super Forms boasting distinctive appearances that emphasize their personalities, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

Aries – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, known for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Remain on the good side of either and benefit from a powerful partner; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Similar to a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its regular and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Several past official descriptions mention their craving for sweet tree sap and how it employs its appendage to hoard it all, which is true Taurus energy.

The Twins – Super Medicham

Observe this total royalty. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the life of any gathering, offering an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wish to hear. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly easy to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to predict an enemy’s next moves, which seems quite like a people-smart Twins.

Cancer – Super Manectric

The Crab is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for often becoming wrapped up in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Crab emotional outburst. It is also known for its capability to create a storm cloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Well, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be much too obvious, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being too glamorous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Fans were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion offers to the scene. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a performance, albeit for aliens.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The sign famous for being charmingly judgmental is strongly reflected throughout this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo sends to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Look at this gentle, empathetic creature, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how people are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them stress more about others.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a toy, it gained sentient through pure hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. Being a Sagittarius personally, the number of times I’ve called myself some version of a “silly small entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can imagine.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to foresee calamities ahead of time? That gives the identical vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.

The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure

Detached element Water Bearer is possibly the non-fire placement that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general intimidating presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
