NFL 2025 season: Week six

Live coverage includes live text of the weekend matchups on various channels, starting with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, radio commentary can be heard on designated networks covering a separate game (from 21:00 BST).

It's week six of the NFL season , after recent discussion regarding two top teams being possible championship contenders, they both lost their unbeaten records.

Notable during those contests was the number of infractions both committed. The Eagles did so in key moments so they essentially defeated themselves after leading 17-3 entering the final quarter against the Denver Broncos, set to play in London this weekend.

But it was positive to observe how Denver quarterback the rookie managed to have that deficit before direct three successful possessions in three attempts in the fourth quarter, securing the game 21-17.

The Broncos have the top defender with CB Pat Surtain II. They are first in red zone defence, while Philadelphia are number one in scoring near the end zone, and Denver won that contest.

They executed effective strategies regarding disguised blitzes. They weren't necessarily rushing extra pass rushers but they might plug two linebackers in the interior before withdrawing them and dispatch a nickel from the outside.

At the start in the campaign, we said on a program that Denver could be this season's dark horses. They finished the previous year strongly and excelled in continuing that momentum.

Could Denver be this year's underdog story?

Recently acquired TE their tight end has excelled big and recent running back JK Dobbins is a guy the team trusts. He's currently fifth in the NFL in ground gains (402) as well as tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).

I love how the coach the Broncos' leader has "RUSH!" at the top on his call sheet.

This demonstrates how Denver are a squad aiming to prioritize the run, since one can achieve much off the back of that. It slows opposing rushes while maintains in favourable situations.

This has helped QB the young passer, who came the NFL as a first-round selection last year, throwing 29 TDs – just behind Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess powerful arms to pass anywhere, however they don't move in the same way as Nix. He boasts incredible passing ability, a unique trait, and he is so athletic.

His assets are his movement, the capacity to pass while moving, and finding varied release points to deliver the pass as he moves out of the pocket, on rollouts. He is able to deliver that layered pass across the middle or over the corner.

As a rookie QB, aged 25, he displays a lot of poise in the pocket and is not really fazed by the blitz. He tries to evade being tackled as much as possible and can throw under pressure. He has a high football IQ and remains quick to decide.

When you consistently rush it eats up time and makes the opponent to be in play extended periods, and when you have a mobile QB the defence has to defend the area vertically side to side. It can be draining.

Nix has bitten back at Payton on the sideline at times and it seems Payton appreciates that attitude, seeing him as such a competitor. I think it's exciting for him to have a rookie QB that is similar to play-dough. He can really build something up the way he wants to build it. I think it's a unique opportunity for him.

The head coach owns a championship and has surpassed a legend in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed everything. I think the achievements Denver are having offensively is largely down to his guidance, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the pairing with Nix aids shape him what he is.

There's no better a more qualified person in your ear, to assist you during some of the tougher situations and build confidence.

I have faith in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet are they strong enough to face an elite team at its best? Since that was not championship-level play from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Right now, it's unlikely the Broncos are elite. They're performing above average, which is a good place to be in their division. The key is is maintain this path.

They're really good at leaning into their forte, which is running the ball, and this is exactly what they should do versus the Jets in London. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.

The Jets have allowed 140 rushing yards per game (among the worst), five ground scores so far (in the bottom ten), and they're the only team without a win any game.

Since the NFL started recording takeaways decades ago, this team are the first team to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is surprising when you think that the head coach was previously a defensive coach with another team.

Patrick Mahomes stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following a recent loss to Jacksonville.

After this Sunday's game, Denver face a smooth-ish schedule until their break (in week twelve) - the Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans and the Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Looking at the AFC West, the Chiefs are 2-3 while Denver are tied with the Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could challenge for the top of the West.

It depends on which form of the Chiefs they meet because the Broncos {beat|def
